Why Fit 2 Challenge

Why this site? 

I’ve struggled with weight all my adult life, after being a sports addict and played almost every sport during my teenage years, I got absorbed by the day to day stuff.  I forgot how to sport, forgot how to take care and expected my body to maintain itself.

I know it is difficult to find something that works, and for me that missing piece was motivation. I found the best formula for getting back in shape is changing your lifestyle and knowing that there are a lot of people out there doing exactly the same and most important, succeeding over the same fears, mental-blocks and excuses.

Exercise, healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle are contagious,  “the grass is always greener on the other side”… well, start moving towards a better you and make others follow. It doesn’t matter how much you read overweight is bad, until you experience the shortage of breath, feeling tired all the time and knowing that your body isn’t happy with how are treating it… is until then is when you realize something has to be done. Share your experience so others don’t have to suffer what you went through and start getting them up their couches and on their feet!

I encourage you to find a workout buddy, it doesn’t matter if you swim and he/she plays tennis. The goal is that both keep moving, doesn’t matter how much, or what you do, just move move move! A workout buddy will push you when you don’t feel like working out that day, will congratulate you on any achievement and give you crap when you do something that pushes you away from the goal.
