I’m 33 and I’ve challenged my 32 year old wife.
I started at 242 pounds, pants size 40 and wearing XL – XXL shirts. I only wore Tshirts and Polo shirts as I hated how my buttons were always about to pop, making it very uncomfortable to wear. My wife started at 183 and a few dress sizes more than when we got married 6 years ago.
My exercise of choice was a low impact cardio workout (those that you can get on DVD’s). Because of my weight I couldn’t even jog, high impact was totally out of the question. I started working out 5 days a week (although the first week I worked out 1, rested 2 and then workout 2 more days). My diet had always been good, I eat everything in small amounts, except for dinner, that’s when I really let my self go. Pasta, fried food, you name it, it was on my dinner menu.
We visited together a Dietitian and she helped us regulate our meal sizes and what should go in them. My wife picked on her life passion of swimming, same as I, she started 3 times a week to later go to the pool every day.
I’ts been now 8 months and I’m happy to report she’s dropped a bit over 20 pounds and I’m not doing that bad either, I’ve lost 31, making me a little bit over 210.
